Manufacturing and Logistics Solutions

Inventory, purchasing, production and shipping in one system, for manufacturers and distributors still running on spreadsheets.

Who this is for

This page is for small and mid-sized manufacturers, distributors and logistics firms. The pattern is familiar: orders arrive by email, someone checks a spreadsheet to see what is on the shelf, and purchasing finds out about shortages too late.

Often the right answer is an ERP set up properly, not custom software. We implement Odoo for distributors and other small and mid-sized businesses, and build custom tools only where a standard system does not fit. On the fit call we will tell you which path makes sense.

What we set up for manufacturing and logistics teams

  • Inventory and warehouses

Stock by location, reorder rules, and barcode scanning, so the system shows what is really on the shelf.

  • Purchasing

Purchase orders, vendor price lists and receiving, linked to stock levels and open sales orders.

  • Production planning

Bills of materials, work orders and a schedule your floor can follow, with material needs worked out from open orders.

  • Shipping and delivery

Pick, pack and ship steps, carrier labels and delivery tracking, connected to the order.

  • Integrations

Connections to accounting, e-commerce and customer portals, so each order is entered once.

How a project runs, and who checks the work

  1. Fit call

A 30-minute call with a delivery lead. You explain what has to change, and we say plainly whether we are the right team for it.

  2. Scope and written plan

One to two weeks of discovery with your team. You get a written plan that names the first release, the dates, who owns each part, and how cost is structured.

  3. Build in short cycles

We build in two-week cycles and show you working software at the end of each one, so you can change priorities before money is spent on the wrong thing.

  4. Review and testing

A senior engineer reviews every change before it is merged, and our QA team tests each release before it goes live.

  5. Launch and support

Go-live, training for the people who will use it, and a handover of the documentation. After that we can stay on to support and improve the system.

A focused first release usually takes 6 to 12 weeks once the plan is agreed. Larger systems are split into phases, and each phase gets its own dates in writing.

Manufacturing and Logistics software: common questions

What is ERP in manufacturing?
An ERP (enterprise resource planning) system keeps sales, inventory, purchasing, production and accounting in one database. For a manufacturer, that means a sales order can reserve stock, trigger a work order and order materials without anyone retyping it.
Should we use an ERP like Odoo or build custom software?
Start with a standard ERP if it covers most of how you work. It is faster to set up and easier to support. Build custom only for the steps that make you different, and connect those to the ERP. We do both, so we have no reason to push one over the other.
How long does an ERP implementation take for a small manufacturer or distributor?
A focused Odoo rollout for a small business is commonly 4 to 8 weeks. Projects with accounting migration, integrations or custom work take longer. We confirm the timeline in writing after discovery.
Can you move our data from QuickBooks and spreadsheets?
Yes. We import products, customers, vendors and open balances, and check the totals with you before go-live.
